Comments
BBC » A very
nice clean and crisp beer with a slight bitterness. Tastes
like a European lager, I wonder if a European brewmaster
was involved in the development of Tsingtao.
Roger » The
Tsingtao Brewery was developed by Germans from 1908.
BBC » Although
I just checked their website
and apparently the brewery was founded in 1903, by German
settlers.
Roger
» Originally German, it was taken over by the
Japanese when they occupied the area (it made Kirin for
a while)... Then the Kuomintang ran it before Mao's communists
took over control of the mainland. They produce a chocolatey
dark beer (rare) as well as the more common lager.
